Mariam & Gor’s Armenian Wedding in Lucerne, Switzerland | Hofkirche St. Leodegar & Hotel Schweizerhof
Mariam and Gor’s wedding was an elegant Swiss city celebration, deeply enriched by heartfelt Armenian traditions. Their day began at one of Lucerne’s most iconic landmarks, Hofkirche St. Leodegar, whose twin towers are a defining feature of the city skyline.
The ceremony unfolded amid the church’s remarkable historic surroundings. Its black Unterwalden-marble high altar, ornate gilded details and monumental organ with 7,374 pipes created a truly unforgettable setting for Mariam and Gor’s vows. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple celebrated their love with meaningful moments and joyful Armenian customs woven naturally into the day.
For their creative photo and film session, we travelled to a nearby mountainside overlooking Lucerne. Sweeping views of the lake, the city and the surrounding Swiss Alps provided a breathtaking backdrop for intimate, natural portraits of the newlyweds.
The celebration continued at Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern, directly on the lakeside promenade. As night fell, dinner gave way to an energetic party filled with chair dancing, a shower of confetti, joyful moments with the grandmother on the dance floor and celebrations that continued long into the night. Mariam and Gor’s wedding was not only beautiful — it was unmistakably theirs: a celebration of family, culture and pure, infectious joy.
