From tuk-tuk rides along the Danube to emotional vows overlooking Buda Castle, Shalaka & Nam’s two-day journey was a breathtaking fusion of love, culture, and joy. Shalaka and Nam’s vibrant Indian-Hungarian wedding was beautifully planned by Nóra Kisfaludy-Tóbel – Cinderella’Day.

Day Two Preparations – A Fusion of Traditions at the Marriott
The second morning began once again at the elegant Budapest Marriott Hotel, where excitement filled the air as Shalaka and Nam got ready for their official ceremony. This time, the preparations were even more symbolic – with Shalaka slipping into a beautifully embroidered Indian outfit, while Nam dressed in a traditional Vietnamese ensemble. Surrounded by close family and friends, the couple shared laughter, quiet nerves, and tender moments as they embraced both sides of their heritage. The soft morning light streaming through the windows, paired with the emotional warmth in the room, allowed us to capture some of the most intimate and meaningful portraits of the entire weekend.
A Danube-Side Ceremony with a View of the Buda Castle
On the second day of their wedding, Shalaka and Nam exchanged vows in a romantic outdoor ceremony on the terrace of the Marriott Hotel, overlooking the Buda Castle and the Danube. The setting sun cast a golden glow over the couple as a close friend officiated their intimate ceremony, making it deeply personal and touching.
Cultural Elegance with a Modern Twist
After the ceremony, the newlyweds changed into traditional Vietnamese attire for family portraits on the same terrace. The blend of Indian and Vietnamese culture, framed by a historic European cityscape, created a unique and sophisticated atmosphere. These moments of quiet connection between generations became some of our favorite stills and scenes from the day.
Emotional Speeches That Touched Every Heart
Dinner was served indoors, where friends and family delivered heartfelt speeches that brought many to tears. From childhood memories to reflections on the couple’s journey, each word was a testament to the deep bonds of love and friendship. The emotional energy in the room was palpable and made for some truly powerful footage.
First Dance and a Surprise Video Booth
As the evening unfolded, Shalaka and Nam took the floor for their first dance – a graceful moment that reflected their deep connection. Later, we invited guests into a separate room to record surprise video messages. These candid interviews became a beautiful, emotional layer in the final wedding film – full of laughter, nostalgia, and blessings.
